USB thumb drive memory drive case review

This is my review of a memory drive organizer box. The story behind this storage box is the guy who created this, bring a techie kind of guy, had a lot of USB thumb drives but no good way to store them. He tried to find something to buy but couldn't find anything he liked so he made his own.

This is the smaller version, holding 12 USB thumb drives in a block of antistatic foam, which is held in a nice transparent latching box with a handle. The thumb drives slide in and out easily but will not accidentally fall out. There are labels included should you want to label which is which.

I give this a big ol' thumbs up! #usbstorage #WrethaReviews

These are the last measuring spoons you will ever buy...

... Unless someone swipes them from you! They would also make a great gift!

I cook and bake, I've had and used lots of different measuring spoons over the years,  I have to say, honestly, these are the best measuring spoons I've had the pleasure of using! They are heavy duty, these aren't going to bend or break. The craftsmanship is superb, the metal is thick, smooth and it's nice to have the measurements engraved deeply into the handle, it is not going to rub or wear off, ever...  The spoon part is narrow so even the largest one will easily fit into your spice jars.

The ring that holds these together is not a split ring but the kind of ring like you find in a binder,  it opens easily but will not open by accident, it is simple to get it open if you want or need the spoons separate.

The spoons nest together quite nicely. These feel substantial, solid and I will enjoy using these for years to come.  #lnkitchen #WrethaReviews

Sagano natural shoe deodorizer plugs review

Basically these are small bags of activated charcoal made from bamboo,  you stick them in your shoes and they are supposed to prevent odors,  I think the key word here is PREVENT, I doubt very seriously these would do much for shoes that already have a stench problem. Odor is caused by bacteria, they like warm, moist, dark places, they LOVE shoes, so to keep your shoes from becoming odiferous, you must remove at least one of the things these bacteria want & need to thrive.

Enter these plugs,  they help absorb moisture, by doing that, you disrupt the life cycle of the bacteria, thus reducing the population and the odor they emit.

My only wish is they were bigger, I don't know for a fact that having bigger plugs would really do anymore than these do now,  perhaps it's just our perception that bigger is better,  or thinking it needs to physically touch all the inside parts of your shoes to work...

Bottom line, get these before you have stinky pinkies. #saganofresh #WrethaReviews

Solar LED flower lights review

This is a solar powered warm white LED string lights, it is 23 feet long with 50 LED lights. At the end of each LED it's capped with a soft,  flexible silicone flower. It has an off/on switch and a separate mode switch that makes it blink or have a solid light. It comes with a ground stake to mount the solar module, it's adjustable so it can always be pointing the right direction. This isn't really really bright,  think more of mood lighting. It only lights up after it gets dark. #solarledstringlights #WrethaReviews

AYL LED rechargeable flashlight review

I love this light,  a little background, I live 100% off grid, on a mountain side, in the high desert of far west Texas, we have some of the darkest skies in the USA, we do not have street lights or the such, I have to hike up (and down) my mountain to get to the road where I park,  once the sun goes down, it's DARK! I have purchased dozens of cheap dollar store LED flashlights over the years,  they last a month on average before they begin to fail to light up,  something I don't need to happen to me out here.

I had heard of these Cree LEDs and wondered if they were worth the price, I'm here to tell you, they ARE!  This flashlight uses the Cree LED, it's bright, it throws a beam of light that illuminates the trail and plenty on the sides to make me feel safe and secure as I hike up and down my mountain at night. The beam can be focused from a near pinpoint to a super wide field.

It comes with a separate charger for the battery,  that is nice on several levels,  first if you have other devices that use that kind of battery, you can charge them on it,  and if you need to charge the battery for the flashlight,  you can still use your flashlight (using the AAA batteries).

I give this flashlight a big thumbs up.  #AYLFlashlight #WrethaReviews

How to become a reviewer

How do I become a reviewer? That's a question I hear a lot, and sometimes the answer isn't what you want to hear, this is what I tell everybody, start doing reviews, review as many things as you possibly can, amazon.com is the main place, there are hundreds and thousands of new vendors that come on and they need reviews on their products, they are looking for reviewers, but before you can ask somebody to send you their stuff for free or heavily discounted, you need to have a history, you need to show these vendors that you do reviews and have done reviews. Think of it from their point of view if you have a product line that you were trying to sell, and you needed reviews, and you had a choice between somebody who had very few or no reviews and somebody who had a bunch of reviews, which one would you go with? I think the answer is clear, they want somebody who's experienced, and they want somebody that they know is going to do a review on the product that they're sending out.

So how do I do reviews? First thing is to be honest, that doesn't mean being brutal, but you have a responsibility to the people who are reading your reviews, because they are making decisions on whether or not to buy a certain product, they need to know that they can trust what you are telling them is true.

The natural inclination is to want to be nice to somebody who is giving you something for free or at a deep discount, but don't fall for that, the vendors who are giving out these products know that you have to give an honest review, and if that means that you have to give them a less-than-stellar report, then that's what you have to do. That doesn't mean you have to be gleeful about it, the few times I've had to give bad report, I'm almost apologetic about it, I don't like doing it but I know it is something I have to do if the product isn't up to par.

If you were doing reviews on Amazon.com, or pretty much any place that you're doing a review, there are rules and laws that you have to follow, the biggest one is that you have to disclose that you received the product at a discount or for free, that doesn't mean you have to shout it from the rooftops, but you do have to announce it,in the review whether it's a video review or write it if it's a written review, it has to be in plain English, if you get caught not disclosing that you received an item free or the discount, you could lose your privileges on Amazon and any other place where you do reviews.

So to break into this business comma start writing reviews, do them for everything that you could possibly do them on, that doesn't mean being dishonest or writing a bunch of garbage, that means writing honest truth. And don't just copy and paste what somebody else wrote that will get you into a lot of trouble, don't just read off the specs off the box, you want to write your experiences with it, what would you want to know if somebody else was describing this item to you? Write with humor, give your readers a reason to want to come back and read another review that you wrote.

Pictures, lots and lots and lots and lots of pictures, your picture, not just the stock photos that are on the ad, and make the pictures interesting, put it somewhere where the background looks interesting but not cluttered, make sure there's enough light so that you can see the item, even better show the item in action, shooting it in your hand, so that you show that you actually have the product, and that you're just not talking about something that you saw online.

Videos, even better than pictures are videos. And use your voice don't just make a video with no sound or the only sound is you moving something around, talk about the item, talk about your expectations of it, talk about what you thought of it when you first opened it, talk about how it works for you, and if it doesn't do what you want it to do, if you're not happy with it, then explain that, be detailed, but also be brief. I try to keep my videos in the three to four minute range, sometimes they go a little bit longer but honestly if they're more than 5 or 6 minutes long, I'll delete them and start over again. Something that helps is to take some notes, jot down the things that you want to say, there's nothing worse than getting in front of the camera and freezing up, forgetting what you want to say, leaving things out, or doing a lot of stuttering. Don't worry if you don't like your voice, trust me I don't have the prettiest voice in the world, I don't even have the prettiest face in the world, but the more videos I do, the more comfortable I get in front of the camera, and the better I get it doing reviews.

Try to find a nice quiet place where you won't be disturbed, or if you think somebody might be around while you're doing your video reviews, just let them know that you're going to be recording, I tell PB  all the time, I'm about to be recording, that way he doesn't accidentally walk up on me talking, or making other noises, that doesn't stop the dogs from barking or squeaking sometimes, and depending on how bad it is I may start over, or I may leave it in just so that it's more real.

On your amazon.com account, you need to fill out your profile, including your picture and email address. Be sure that you write a little blurb about yourself, explain that you like to do reviews on different products, you can't even spell out the things that you're looking to review, again be honest, don't go in thinking that you're going to be getting a lot of high-dollar items, especially up front, that's just not how it works.

Put in your different social medias, your links, your blogs, any place where you would post a review, include them in there. I have Facebook, Instagram, my blog, and probably a few other places that I can't remember right now, that makes them linkable and the people who will look to see if they want to give you the chance to do a review, they'll check out your social media and see just what kind of reviews you do. Be real, be honest, be yourself, talk like you're talking to a friend.

Check your spelling and punctuation, be sure you are using the correct words, such as "there, their and they're", have someone you trust proofread your reviews, you can always edit them if something needs to be fixed. Use paragraphs (line breaks), it's difficult to read one huge sea of words, you need to give your readers a visual break,  think of it as taking a breath between sentences.

Don't be too wordy (like this post LOL)  or too brief, aim for a happy medium.

Never never never ask anyone (in one of your reviews) to hit the "helpful" button on your Amazon review,  I've seen other people do it,  but it's very clearly against Amazon's rules,  it's considered vote manipulation,  you may get away with it for a while, but it can get you banned from being able to do reviews on Amazon, it's just not worth the risk. You can read the do's and don'ts on being an Amazon reviewer here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201602680

One more thing, NEVER accept payments or gifts for your reviews, the ONLY exception is to receive the product in exchange for your review, the seller cannot coerce you to give a good review, nor can they ask you to change a review, you may contact the seller if there is a problem to see if they can resolve the problem before you post your review.

In closing,  I would say to never pay to belong to a reviewing site,  never pay a third party to get access to discount codes, even if they are only charging a dollar, it's a ripoff, believe me,  the sellers/vendors are looking for you the honest established reviewer to help them sell more products.

Canvas bag review

This bag rocks! It's not too big or too small, it could easily be carried by men or women. Truth be told, I don't carry a purse, haven't in years, but on the rare occasion that I need a bag, I would be comfortable carrying this. What I will use it for is to carry tools and such for my job in merchandising.

This bag looks great, it's not brown but more of a sage green with brown leather accents. It has lots of zippered compartments.

Earbuds review

I go through earbuds like crazy, I don't know who or how I'm so hard on them... So I'm always looking for my next pair, these were the ones I chose this time. When I first opened them, they looked odd and because of their shape, only fit one way in your ears. They don't come with different sized earbuds but they are soft enough I think they will fit most people's ears, they fit me just fine.

They have a long cord, they also have a slider that turns the volume up & down as well as an answer phone button. They sound pretty good, I don't listen to much music, preferring to listen to audiobooks and podcasts, they work just fine for that, and they sound good for music.

Once you take them out of the case they come in, it's near impossible to put them back in, but that's OK, I don't plan on storing them there. I am satisfied with these earbuds.

BroSolar motion sensor security light review

I've been wanting to get a motion activated solar powered security light for a while, not because we live in a dangerous place, but to have a light that would come on automatically when we walked within range, this fits the bill nicely.

It's bright, it comes on promptly, it goes off quickly. It has 3 settings (plus off), one comes on brightly when it gets dark and stays on until it runs out of juice, two stay on dimly but gets brighter when someone walks within range, three stays off until someone walks within range. I'm keeping mine set on three.

I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of how hard it is to move the switch, other than that, it's good in every other way. # broSolar #WrethaReviews

I can't recommend this knife 👎

I always feel bad when I give a negative review, and this is no different, I always try to find some redeeming quality, and it's just not here. It's not a case of a broken or defective  item,  or something the manufacturer can repair. I am a merchandiser and use a knife on a daily basis,  it doesn't have to be an expensive one,  I usually carry a Carolina knife that cost me $10, I like it because it works, it's sharp (and stays that way), the action is smooth,  both opening and closing.

So back to this knife. When I first got it, I opened the box and passed it around to my friends, showing off the knife and case. As we passed it around,  we began to notice we all had blue fingers,  whatever the case is made of was rubbing off on our skin in large quantities.  It was a struggle to remove the knife from the case, I saw another reviewer who was a healthy looking man having the same trouble getting it freed from the case...  OK,  I didn't buy it for the plastic case, I could overlook that.

I took the knife to work with me for a day,  honestly I was wishing I had my other knife,  but I gave this one a good try. The nylon carrying sheath is OK,  the knife is almost too thick to comfortably slip in and out of the sheath, there were other issues with the sheath but I didn't buy it for the sheath either.

I cut open boxes at work, not a lot but a few each day, there are 2 kinds of tape I deal with,  fiberglass embedded and clear plastic. This knife struggled with both,  I actually had to saw the tape,  I expect a knife to be sharp right out of box,  at least sharp enough to cut through tape. This is a stainless steel blade,  which isn't known for holding an edge like carbon steel.

The action of the knife,  opening and closing is terrible,  it's not smooth,  it's quite stiff, I even saw a puff of dust come from the knife when I opened it in the sunlight, I have no idea what that was,  perhaps a dry lubricant? It does lock open, I didn't feel like it would shut by accident. Unlocking the knife to close it is not easy either.

All in all,  I reluctantly have to give this one star.  I received this free in exchange for my honest opinion /review.

Can a car charge adapter be a sensual experience?

It's a funny thing,  I tend not to notice how dusty my truck is here in far west Texas until I snap a picture 😤...  Nevertheless, I'm here to review this charger. I use 12 volt chargers just like everyone else does,  I have had several over the last few years,  they are pretty standard,  they fit in the cigarette lighter or auxiliary port in my truck.  All the ones I've had before were hard to go in,  there was a roughness I could feel as I forced it to go in.

Now bring in this car charger,  when I opened the package,  this charger felt different in my hand,  there was a sleekness,  an elegance,  I know,  it's just a charger, right? When I inserted it into the cigarette lighter socket,  it went in like it had been designed just for mine! It was SMOOTH, I spun it in the socket and it was still smooth,  I didn't have to force it.  The fit was perfect,  I don't worry that it might fall out,  but sliding it in and removing this charger is almost a pleasureable experience... Yes I know,  we are still talking about a car charger 😮😊

The charger itself emits a soft blue light in a ring around the outer edge,  I don't like bright LED lights messing with my night vision as I drive,  I've been known to put opaque tape over obnoxiously bright LED lights,  this has a pleasant soft blue light that let's me know where the charger is in the dark and that it is working.

It does have 2 different USB charging slots,  I am using the standard (larger) one. It charges my phone,  it charges my tablet,  I'm happy with it.

Tens Unit Review

I've used tens units before but hadn't had one that had programable settings, this is a real step forward. The physical unit is larger than the old school units, which is understandable. The instructions are clear, including pictures of where to place the electrodes. This comes ready to use, including the wires, electrodes and batteries. I have a chiropractor who uses a tens unit in his practice, for less than the price of one Dr visit, I can treat my own aches and pains at home. ... along comes a bad review,  yup,  there will be a bad'un posted by this weekend.  I hate to do it,  but this product is terrible,  can you believe it actually turned my hands blue? Well it did,  I'm sitting here typing with blue fingers right now.  Don't worry,  it's strictly topical,  not circulation related,  and it should wash off,  I hope.  😨

Almost blown away ;) 😎

Elechomes EH101 360° rotational rechargeable portable personal fan.  This little personal fan is a powerhouse,  it's not going to push air like it's big brothers,  but for a small fan,  it works pretty well.

This fan can sit on its base or can clip on, it's rechargeable using a USB cord (included),  it's a little noisy but not too much.  I like that I can take it with me without worrying about where to plug it in.

It is fully adjustable on 2 axis,  so it can face in any direction.  The air flow is also adjustable from barely moving to full blast.

UPDATE:
Yesterday I took it with me on my way to work,  I don't have A/C in my truck at the moment so it felt good to have moving air even when I was stopped.  I guesstimate that it ran for about 2 hours before it stopped but wanted to know for sure how long it would run on a full charge. I put it on the charger overnight,  today I turned it on at 2:30 and ran it on full force carrying it with me everywhere I went. It stopped running at 4:15,  so it ran, on a full charge,  on high power for an hour and 45 minutes.

CVlife 800 lumens Cree xml t6 LED rechargeable flashlight review. Ever heard of Cree LEDs? I had heard they were good,  but they are more expensive,  I didn't want to spend the money on something I wasn't sure would be much better than the LED flashlights you can get from the dollar stores...  Wow was I ever wrong about that!

This flashlight rocks! From the first time I clicked it on,  I was super impressed with the quality of the flashlight and the brightness of the beam. It has 5 modes,  bright (almost blinding), medium, low, strobe and SOS. It comes with a rechargeable battery and 2 ways to plug it up, a car charger and a USB charger,  you can also use standard AAA batteries (3 of them).

You can focus the beam from very tight to a wide flood pattern.  Did I mention it's BRIGHT and throws a long way, some 700 feet...

It has a black aluminum body,  it's near 7 inches long,  comes in a green tactical type case with foam padding, it's a good place to store the chargers, USB cord and other parts when not in use. I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Drip Brew coffee dripper review

I seem to have a coffee theme going on right now, I am reviewing yet another coffee dripper,  this one is a bit different from the others in that it comes in 2 parts,  the frame and the cone. I'm not sure if that has any advantages or not,  only time will tell., though honestly I think I prefer the one piece drippers,  I only have to keep up with one part vs two parts.

This is made of stainless steel with micro-holes that allow the liquid to flow through and keeps the grounds out of your coffee cup. You do not use filters with this,  a definite advantage, I've read that paper filters rob the coffee of some flavor, true or not, it's one less thing to have to buy and throw away with this system.

As with all of these coffee drippers,  you place the unit on top of your mug,  you put in an amount of ground coffee,  then you slowly pour boiling water through. The slower you pour,  the more flavor you will get from your coffee. They do include a sample of whole bean roasted coffee.

Vodiy Fortluxe French coffee press review

I love coffee made in a French coffee press, it's not bitter which is a huge thing for me, I detest coffee made in an automatic coffee machine.  When I was offered the opportunity to review this French coffee press for free,  I was so excited!

The first thing I noted was the beauty of this coffee press,  it's very pretty,  it would look great on any counter top. The next thing I noted was the size and heft,  it isn't too heavy but it's no lightweight either,  it's quite sturdy too.  I've owned quite a few different coffee presses and this one feels like it's going to be around for a long time.

The locking lid is very nice,  no worries about the lid coming off when you pour your coffee, the double screen fits snuggly in the carafe, no coffee grounds will sneak past and get into your cup.

It comes with a scoop and two extra screens,  the sample of coffee next to it in my pictures does not come with this.

All in all,  I'd say this is a top notch French coffee press, a good value.  Please enjoy the video I made featuring the Vodiy Fortluxe French coffee press.

Is it new or is it not?

This blog may be brand spanky new, but I am not new to reviewing. I am an established Amazon.com reviewer (with a Prime account) and blogger. I will be adding my existing reviews here over a period of time, as well as creating new ones,

I have much to say about the products and services I review. I am picky about what I review, I will only choose things I am truly interested in, actually try the product and write what I think about them, good or bad. I am a merchandiser by trade, so I appreciate how things look, how they are placed for potential customers to view, asthetics are important, but so is being real and honest.

As stated in my disclaimer, I do receive some (but not all) products free or at a discount, but that does not influence my review in any way, the companies who send these products out for review have no guarantee of a positive review, only of an honest one.

Here are the places where I leave reviews (more to be added)

Blacklight flashlight review

This review is from: Esco-Lite 395 nM 51 UV Ultraviolet LED flashlight Blacklight 3 AA Battery (Sports) Good midsized 51 UV LED flashlight, the black aluminum housing feels sturdy, the on/off switch is covered in rubber, it has a good solid click when you press it. All 51 LEDs lit up, it puts out a strong light, not so visible to the naked eye, but shine it on something that flouresces and it lights that up brightly. I shined it on my rug and was shocked to see all the stuff light up on it. You can see from my pictures that UV sensitive objects light up well. I did take it scorpion hunting tonight, right after a rain, I found 2 small scorpions, they lit up like a 60s blacklight poster.
I notice the head of the flashlight gets really warm when it's been on for a while, not hot like it's going to burn up, but I notice it.

Colored pencils review

I am an artist as well as a colorist for adult coloring books, when KJColors offered this set of colored pencils to me for free in exchange for my honest opinion/review, I jumped at the opportunity. I received 48 colored pencils in a canvas roll up wrap pencil holder, it also contained a cheap paint brush, a cheap pencil sharpener and a Faber-Castell brand blue eraser, all of this was inside a retail box. The pencils were pre-sharpened and arrived intact, no leads were broken.
The first thing I did was take out all of the pencils and arrange them in a more pleasing arrangement for me, by color family, they were close but I have different ideas as to how my colors should be arranged 😊. They come with a good assortment of colors, the only colors that might be considered to fall short are the yellows, there are only 2 yellows, but if you are clever you can get past that.
I was a bit perplexed by the eraser, being a premium name brand, Faber-Castell, I wondered about how well these colors might erase, I was pleasantly surprised to discover they erase quite nicely, kudos to KJColors!
The pencils are hexagonal in shape so they will not roll around, I like that,. The barrels are nice and straight, they are painted with the color of the lead and match up for the most part, there are a few that aren't even close, so a color chart swatch should be done, something I recommend anyhow.
Now down to the important business, how it colors. I'd say they were midrange, they aren't premium high end but you aren't paying premium prices for these. They are definitely higher quality than what you would get in your local dollar store. I colored a page in a coloring book, the colors lay down smoothly and layer & blend nicely. They are a medium hardness/softness, allowing you to get different looks based on how hard you press. None of them broke while I used them, they didn't wear down any faster than I expected them to.

The pencil case is a nice touch, the pencils fit one to a slot and will not fall out, there is also a spot to hold the paintbrush, sharpener and eraser. There is a faux leather flap that covers the sharpened end of the pencils to protect the leads. This wrap rolls up and has a snap fastener so you can take your pencils securely on the road.
The pencil sharpener and paintbrush are really cheap, but they work.
My wish list for future versions: 1. Put color names on the pencils, or at least put numbers on them that correspond with the colors
That's it, that is the only thing I can find wrong. 😊 #‎KJColors48PremiumColoredPencilsSet‬ ‪#‎WrethaReviews‬ ‪#‎KJCOLORS
